After about 4 km you reach the small village of Bärendorf, where a short detour to the source of the White Elster, the main river of the Vogtland, is possible. The stone-framed spring monument is also located on the Czech side. Now the route goes uphill to the 759 m high Kapellenberg. Due to the steep mountain slope, the observation tower offers a wide view over the Ore Mountains, Kaiserwald, Eger Basin, the Fichtel Mountains and the Elster Mountains. The following section of the path holds several mysterious legends. The ruins of the chapel tell the story of three unhappily in love sisters or the nearby golden well hides a treasure of gold. However, the water of the spring below is said to flow so abundantly that it would flood the entire Eger basin – so hands off the treasure! After the descent, a visit to the village of Schönberg is a nice change. The castle Schönberg, with its octagonal tower visible from afar, has been extensively restored and the cozy castle café in the lower rooms invites you to take a coffee break. The castle owner occasionally gives very interesting tours through the castle. After another 6 km, the hike ends again in Bad Brambach.

Après environ 4 km, on atteint le petit village de Bärendorf, où une courte excursion à la source de la Weiße Elster, le principal cours d'eau du Vogtland, est possible. Le monument à la source en pierre se trouve aussi du côté tchèque. Ensuite, la montée commence vers le Kapellenberg, haut de 759 m. Depuis la falaise escarpée, on a depuis la tour d'observation une vue étendue sur les Monts Métallifères, Kaiserwald, le bassin d’Eger, les Fichtelgebirge et les montagnes de l’Elster. Le tronçon suivant comporte plusieurs légendes mystérieuses. La ruine de la chapelle raconte l'histoire de trois sœurs malheureusement amoureuses ou encore le puits d'or voisin cache un trésor. Mais l’eau de la source en dessous coule tellement abondamment qu'elle pourrait inonder tout le bassin d’Eger – donc ne touche pas au trésor ! Après la descente, une visite de la ville de Schönberg est une belle diversité. Le château de Schönberg, visible de loin avec sa tour octogonale, a été largement restauré et dans les salles inférieures, un café de château convivial invite à une pause-café. Le propriétaire du château propose aussi parfois des visites très intéressantes du château. Après encore 6 km, la randonnée se termine à nouveau à Bad Brambach.

Nach etwa 4 km erreicht man das kleine Örtchen Bärendorf, hier bietet sich ein kurzer Abstecher zur Quelle der Weißen Elster, dem Hauptfluss des Vogtlandes. Das in Stein gefasste Quellendenkmal liegt auch tschechischer Seite. Nun geht es bergauf zum 759 m hohen Kapellenberg. Durch den steilen Gebirgsabfall hat man vom Aussichtsturm einen weiten Blick über Erzgebirge, Kaiserwald, Egerer Becken, das Fichtel und das Elstergebirge. Der nun folgende Wegabschnitt birgt mehrere geheimnisvolle Sagen. Die Ruine der Kapelle erzählt die Geschichte von drei unglücklich verliebten Schwestern oder der nahe liegende Goldbrunnen verbirgt einen Goldschatz. Aber, das Wasser der darunter liegenden Quelle soll so reichhaltig fließen, dass es das gesamte Egerer Becken überfluten würden- also Finger weg Vom Schatz! Nach dem Abstieg ist ein Besuch des Ortes Schönberg eine schöne Abwechslung. Das mit seinem achteckigen Turm weithin sichtbare Schloss Schönberg wurde umfangreich restauriert und in den unteren Räumen lädt ein gemütliches Schlosscafe zu einer Kaffeepause ein. Der Schlossbesitzer führt auch ab und an sehr interessante Führungen durch das Schloss an. Nach weiteren 6 km endet die Wanderung wieder in Bad Brambach.

Eine Besteigung ist ein absolutes Muss, wie auch der kurze Abstecher zur Ruine der Kapelle, die dem Berg seinen Namen gegeben hat.</p> <p>Am sagenumwobenen Schwarzen Teich vorbei, geht es zur Straße Bärendorf – Schönberg und weiter durch den Wald bis nach Hohendorf, und von dort über den Mühlweg und Hohendorfer Weg zurück nach Bad Brambach.</p> <p><strong>Alternativroute über Schönberg:</strong> Am Wanderparkplatz an der Bärendorfer Straße, kurz hinter dem Kapellenberg, zweigt ein anfangs grün (Lehrpfad), dann gelb markierter Abstieg nach Schönberg ab, das auf der „Alten Schönberger Straße“ erreicht wird. Hier befindet sich das sehenswerte restaurierte Schloss Schönberg. Auch die Kirche lohnt einen Besuch. Ab Schönberg ist die Markierung wieder grün und bleibt es, bis der Vogtland Panorama Weg® wieder erreicht ist.</p>
