An Feiertagen und dem Wochenende sind die Wege – sofern keine Hiebsortabsperrungen aufgrund verkehrssicherungsrechtlicher Zwangslagen vor Ort installiert sind – passierbar. Es ist jedoch stellenweise mit Reisig-Restmaterial und weiteren Verunreinigungen bis zum Abschluss der Wegeinstandsetzung zu rechnen.

Ausgangspunkt ist das Tal der Landesgemeinde in Erlbach. Bis zu den Dreirainsteinen geht es vom Tal aufwärts bis zum ehemaligen Grenzpunkt zwischen drei Bistümern. Auf dem kurzen Wegstück zur Schutzhütte am Kammweg hat man gleich drei berühmte Weitwege unter den Füßen (Fernweg Eisenach-Budapest, Wanderweg der Deutschen Einheit und Vogtland Panorama Weg®)! An der Wegspinne im Wald steigen wir durch das Hüttenbachtal nach Zwota hinab. Der Weg verläuft am Waldrand entlang bis ins Ortszentrum von Zwota. Hier beginnt der Anstieg zum Herrenberg. Der Weg führt nach einer Hochwaldpassage über den steil abfallenden Knockweg ins Klausenbachtal. Nach steilem Anstieg wird das Neubaugebiet „An der Huth“ erreicht. Wieder im Wald, ist der Meiselteich das nächste Ziel. Hier wendet sich der Weg wieder stadtwärts. Vorbei am Campingplatz Dürrenbach und dem Freibad, geht es kurz aber steil auf einem Pfad zum Tierpark Klingenthal. Über die Alberthöhe, wo sich ein großartiger Panoramablick eröffnet, führt der Weg auf dem Bergrücken entlang Richtung „Sparkasse Vogtland Arena“. Nach einem lohnenswerten Abstecher zu einer der modernsten Großsprungschanzen Europas, kommt man durch den Kohlenweg in der Klingenthaler Ortsteil Brunndöbra. Nach Überqueren der Bundesstraße B 283 in der Nähe des ehem. Gasthauses Goldberg, geht es auf der Forststraße zum Arboretum. Von hier geht es bergauf, um im direkten Anstieg auf den Mittelberg zu klettern. Oben biegt man in der Nähe des Sportplatzes links ab. An der ehemaligen Aschbergschanze geht es vorbei zum Floßgrabenweg. Kurz vor Mühlleithen biegt der Vogtland Panorama Weg® am Unteren Floßteich rechts ab und verläuft nach Überquerung der B 283 auf dem Hirschleckenweg hinauf zum Aschberg.

Par la hauteur Albert, d'où s'ouvre une vue panoramique magnifique, le sentier suit la crête en direction de la "Sparkasse Vogtland Arena". Après un détour intéressant vers l'une des tremplins de saut à ski les plus modernes d'Europe, on traverse le Kohlenweg dans le quartier Brunndöbra de Klingenthal. Après avoir traversé la route fédérale B 283 près de l'ancien restaurant Goldberg, on emprunte la route forestière vers l'arboretum. De là, la montée se poursuit, en grimpant directement jusqu'au Mittelberg. En haut, on tourne à gauche près du terrain de sport. On passe l'ancien tremplin d'Aschberg pour rejoindre le chemin Floßgraben. Juste avant Mühlleithen, le Vogtland Panorama Weg® bifurque à droite au niveau de l'étang inférieur Floß et continue après avoir traversé la B 283 par le Hirschleckenweg jusqu'à l'Aschberg.
