About: Kaltohmfeld

Kaltohmfeld, 1418 erstmals erwähnt, ist der kleinste Ortsteil der Stadt und mit seiner Lage 500 Meter über NN die höchstgelegene Siedlung im Eichsfeld. Seine evangelische Kirche wurde 1588 erst nach Errichtung der Siedlerhöfe erbaut und steht daher am Rande des Ortszentrums. Kaltohmfeld ist Ausflugsziel für Wanderer und Pferdefreunde und bietet von seinen Anhöhen einzigartige Aussichten bis zum Brocken und Thüringer Wald. Im Winter werden hier 60 km Loipen für Langläufer gespurt.

Kaltohmfeld, first mentioned in 1418, is the smallest district of the city and, with its location 500 meters above sea level, the highest settlement in Eichsfeld. His Protestant church was built in 1588 after the settlers' farms were built and is therefore on the edge of the town center. Kalt‐ ohmfeld is an excursion destination for hikers and horse lovers and offers unique views from its hills to the Brocken and Thuringian Forest. In winter, 60 km of trails for cross‐country skiers are groomed here.

Kaltohmfeld, mentionné pour la première fois en 1418, est le plus petit quartier de la ville et, avec sa situation à 500 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, le village le plus élevé de l'Eichsfeld. Son église protestante n'a été construite qu'en 1588, après la création des fermes de colonisation, et se trouve donc à la périphérie du centre du village. Kaltohmfeld est une destination d'excursion pour les randonneurs et les amateurs de chevaux et offre, depuis ses hauteurs, des vues uniques jusqu'au Brocken et à la forêt de Thuringe. En hiver, 60 km de pistes de ski de fond y sont tracés pour les skieurs de fond.
