Im Schnittpunkt der Hauptwegeachsen bildet sie auf 900 m² Fläche den baulichen Mittelpunkt der Friedhofsanlage.</p><p>Spitzbögen zieren Eingang und Anbauten und verbinden diese architektonisch mit dem Eingangsensemble oder der Friedhofsmauer. Bleigefasste Farbglasfenster und ein Mosaik im Altarraum der Trauerhalle runden das Gesamtbild ab.</p><p>An der Rückseite des Zentralbaus und über dem Eingangsportal befinden sich Reliefplastiken des Mühlhäuser Bildhauers Walter Krause.</p> |

Located on the intersection of the main pathways, the Funeral Hall covers an area of 900 square metres and makes up the centre piece of the cemetery.</p><p>Pointed arches adorn the entrance and annexes and link them architectonically with the same type of arch found in the entrance ensemble and the cemetery wall. Lead frame stained glass windows and a mosaic in the choir of the Funeral Hall complement the building’s overall appearance.</p><p>Above the portal in the front and at the rear of the Funeral Hall one can see sculptures of the Mühlhausen-based sculptor Walter Krause.</p> |
