Urkundlich wurde 1387 in Wintzingerode eine Wehrkirche mit Hof erwähnt. Da diese Kirche kein Patronat hatte, wurde sie 1998 geweiht. Der Turm mit seinen dicken Mauern und kleinen schießschartenähnlichen Fenstern weist auf eine Wehrkirche hin. 1630 brannte die Kirche bis auf die Grundmauern nieder, erst 1700 erfolgte der Neubau im schlichten Barockstil. Besonders sind die Fenster mit dem Wappen der Herrschaftsfamilie von Wintzingerode und der Taufengel, der von dieser Familie gespendet wurde.
A fortified church with a courtyard was mentioned in documents in Wintzingerode in 1387. Since this church had no patronage, it was consecrated in 1998. The tower with its thick walls and small embrasure-like windows indicates a fortified church. In 1630 the church burned down to the foundation walls, and it was not until 1700 that it was rebuilt in a simple Baroque style. Special are the windows with the coat of arms of the ruling family of Wintzingerode and the baptismal angel, which was donated by this family.
Des documents font état d'une église fortifiée avec cour à Wintzingerode en 1387. Comme cette église n'avait pas de patronage, elle a été consacrée en 1998. La tour, avec ses murs épais et ses petites fenêtres ressemblant à des meurtrières, indique qu'il s'agissait d'une église de défense.
