Brennersgrün est un quartier de la ville de Lehesten dans le district de Saalfeld-Rudolstadt en Thuringe. Brennersgrün est situé à la pointe sud du district de Saalfeld-Rudolstadt et partage une partie de la frontière avec la Bavière. La route nationale 2374 relie la localité à l'arrière-pays. La commune est située sur un haut-plateau cubique du massif schisteux de Thuringe, entouré de forêts. Lehesten se trouve au nord et est accessible par une route sinueuse et en pente. L'altitude est de 715 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Il s'agit donc du village le plus élevé du district.

Brennersgrün is a district of the town Lehesten in the district Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in Thuringia. Brennersgrün is located in the southern tip of the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district and has a partly common state border with Bavaria. The state road 2374 connects the district with the hinterland. The district of the village is situated on a high plateau of the Thuringian Slate Mountains surrounded by forests. Lehesten is located to the north and can be reached by a winding and sloping road. The altitude is 715 meters above sea level. Thus, the district is the highest village in the county.

Brennersgrün ist die jüngste und mit 715 Meter auch höchstgelegene Ortschaft der Stadt Lehesten. Eingebettet in herrliche Waldidylle, führt der Rennsteig direkt durch den Ort. Für Rennsteigwanderungen ist Brennersgrün deshalb ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Sie können bequem parken und Ihre Wanderung beginnen. Der Aufstieg zum Wetzstein (792 Meter hoch) mit dem Altvaterturm kann hier ebenfalls beginnen und gehört zu den beliebtesten Wanderrouten.
