1913 wurde das Kleinod am Rande des Städtchens eröffnet. Zu Beginn der 1970er-Jahre wurde das heute bestehende Becken für Schwimmer und Nichtschwimmer ausgebaut. Daneben wurde ein externes Planschbecken für die Kleinsten geschaffen und eine Rutsche in Nichtschwimmerbereich. Das weitläufige Wiesengelände beherbergt Freiluft-Gastronomie, Toiletten und Umkleideräume. Für die aktive Abwechslung am Beckenrand bieten sich Beachvolleyball-Anlage und Bolzplatz an. Seit 2012 bewirtschaftet die ortsansässige Sport- und Spielgemeinschaft das Objekt als Vereinsbad. Ein Schwimmmeister ist vor Ort. Besonderheit: Das glasklare Wasser kommt, mittels Aufwärmrinne vorgewärmt, aus der berühmten Karstquelle „ Gründelsloch“. Das Freibad ist nicht öffentlich, aber jeder kann klingeln und Tagesmitglied werden und damit das Bad nutzen.

La piscine en plein air n'est pas ouverte au public, mais tout le monde peut sonner et devenir membre à la journée et ainsi profiter de la piscine.
