Der Kindelbrücker Ortsteil Bilzingsleben liegt zu Füßen der Hainleite und hat 650 Einwohner. Die erste Hälfte des Ortsnamens geht auf den Gründer der damaligen Siedlung zurück, einem gewissen „Bulzo“. Der Stammsitz des einst in Bilzingsleben ansässigen Adelsgeschlechts von Bültzingslöwen wurde im Jahr 1174 erstmalig urkundlich erwähnt. Bilzingsleben ist wissenschaftlich betrachtete ein weltberühmter Ort. Überreste des homo erectus bilzingslebensis wurden hier entdeckt – es handelt sich um einen frühen Vorfahren des Menschen, der vor rund 300.000 Jahren im tiefen Travertin-Gestein seine Abdrücke hinterließ. Die Ausgrabungsstätte Steinrinne liegt am südlichen Randes Ortes und ist heute ein Museum. Von dort hat man einen großartigen Fernblick über das Thüringer Becken und seine Rand-Höhenzüge. Bilzingsleben am Nordrand des Thüringer Beckens ist umrahmt von sanften Hügeln und schmiegt sich malerisch an die Südausläufer der Hainleite – er wird auch als das Südtor zum Geopark Kyffhäuser bezeichnet. Die Wipper ist ein prägendes Landschaftselement sowie dass sie umgebende Teichholz nördlich des Ortes. Geologisch ist die Gegend besonders aktiv, sie liegt auf einer Störungszone, an deren Oberfläche permanent Veränderungen stattfinden. So ist der stärkste Quell Thüringens, das so genannte Gründelsloch bei Kindelbrück, ein typischer Ausdruck der aktiven Geolandschaft. Ende 2012 entstand über Nacht ein neuer Teich entlang der Wipper – das Teichholz, ist wie das Gründelsloch eine geologisch junge Landschaft, die ihr herb-schönes Antlitz stetig zu verändern mag. Unweit der mit Wasser gefüllten Erdfällen des Teichholzes sorgte der natürliche Durchbruch der Wipper für steile Muschelkalkhänge entlang der Hainleite, über denen sich seltene Orchideen-Kulturen ausgebreitet haben. Der Ort lässt Wanderern zu Radlern viele schöne Gelegenheiten, die Gegend um die Hainleite oder die Auenlandschaft des Thüringer Beckens zu erkunden. Im schattigen Teichholz an den Ufern der Wipper bietet eine gemütliche Waldgaststätte in traumhafter Lage Gelegenheit zum Verweilen bei reichhaltiger Kost aus der Region.

Le siège de la famille noble von Bültzingslöwen, autrefois établie à Bilzingsleben, a été mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 1174. Bilzingsleben est un lieu mondialement connu d'un point de vue scientifique. Des restes de l' homo erectus bilzingslebensis y ont été découverts - il s'agit d'un ancêtre précoce de l'homme qui a laissé ses empreintes dans la roche profonde de travertin il y a environ 300 000 ans. Le site de fouilles de Steinrinne se trouve à la périphérie sud du village et est aujourd'hui un musée. De là, on a une vue magnifique sur le bassin de Thuringe et ses hauteurs périphériques. Bilzingsleben, à la limite nord du bassin de Thuringe, est entouré de douces collines et se blottit de manière pittoresque contre les contreforts sud de la Hainleite - il est également considéré comme la porte sud du Géoparc du Kyffhäuser. The strongest spring in Thuringia, the so-called Gründelsloch near Kindelbrück, is a typical expression of the active geological landscape.
