La construction de l'église a commencé en 1756 et a duré plus de 150 ans en raison de nombreux revers. Auparavant, il existait à cet endroit une chapelle Saint-Nicolas délabrée datant de 1311. 1878, l'église a été reconsacrée et la construction de la tour a eu lieu en 1899. Les différentes phases de construction ont permis de retrouver des éléments de style roman à néogothique. L'intérieur est aménagé dans le style du 19e siècle. L'autel sculpté de 1475 provenant du monastère cistercien de Worbis, les fonts baptismaux de 1723 et les vitraux sont particulièrement remarquables.
The construction of the church began in 1756, its completion took over 150 years due to many setbacks. Previously, a dilapidated St. Nicholas Chapel from 1311 existed on this site. In 1878, the church was consecrated anew, and in 1899 the tower was built. Through the different construction phases, Romanesque to neo-Gothic style elements can be found. The interior is designed in the style of the 19th century. The carved altar from 1475 from the Cistercian monastery in Worbis, the baptismal font from 1723 and the window glazing are special.
Der Kirchenbau begann 1756, die Fertigstellung dauerte wegen vieler Rückschläge über 150 Jahre. Zuvor existierte an dieser Stelle eine baufällige Nikolauskapelle aus dem Jahr 1311. 1878 wurde die Kirche neu geweiht, 1899 erfolgte der Turmbau. Durch die verschiedenen Bauphasen sind romanische bis neogotische Stilelemente zu finden. Der Innenbereich ist im Stil des 19. Jahrhunderts gestaltet. Besonders sind der Schnitzaltar aus dem Jahr 1475 vom Zisterzienserinnenkloster Worbis, das Taufbecken von 1723 und die Fensterverglasungen.
