In Monstab, in the heart of the Altenburger Land region, one of the best bitter hops in Germany grows on around 160 hectares. Since 1992, the Berthold family business has focused on the highest quality and gentle cultivation methods. The combination of craftsmanship and sustainable cultivation earned the farm the title of "German Hop Champion" in 2023. The close cooperation with the Altenburg brewery ensures that the hops develop their unique flavor directly in regional beers. In addition to hops such as Saazer, Perle and Polaris, the farm also grows various herbs for tea production.

Die enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Altenburger Brauerei sorgt dafür, dass der Hopfen direkt in regionalen Bieren seinen einzigartigen Geschmack entfaltet. Neben Hopfen wie Saazer, Perle und Polaris baut der Betrieb auch verschiedene Kräuter für die Teeherstellung an.

Depuis 1992, l'entreprise familiale Berthold mise sur une qualité supérieure et des méthodes de culture douces. La combinaison du savoir-faire artisanal et de la gestion durable a valu à l'exploitation le titre de "championne allemande du houblon" en 2023. L'étroite collaboration avec la brasserie Altenburger Brauerei permet au houblon de développer son goût unique directement dans les bières régionales. Outre le houblon comme le Saazer, le Perle et le Polaris, l'exploitation cultive également différentes herbes pour la production de thé.
