Orientierung bietet dabei das Markierungszeichen des Weges, eine Silhouette von drei grünen Türmen auf weißem Grund. <br /><br />Vom Ausgangspunkt, dem Parkplatz des Coudray-Hauses in Bad Berka, geht es ca. 100 Meter bergan und über eine schmale Asphaltstraße. Rechts befindet sich die Paulinenhütte. Wir folgen einem Waldweg in Richtung Hainturm. Nach 980 Metern ist die Sicht frei auf das Ilmtal und das Dorf Hetschburg. Am Waldrand bietet eine Wanderhütte die erste Rastmöglichkeit. Nach ca. 1,2 km trifft man auf einen Gedenkstein, der an den großherzoglichen Leibjäger Anton Möslein erinnert. 100 m weiter befindet sich die unter Bodendenkmalschutz stehende ur- und frühgeschichtliche Wallburg Martinskirche. Etwas weiter haben wir gute Sicht in das Ilmtal und zur Felsenburg, einer mittelalterlichen Anlage von Felsenkammern. Etwa 1 km später führt uns der Drei-Türme-Weg aus dem Wald heraus und biegt nach Buchfart ab. Durch eine überdachte, denkmalgeschützte Holzbrücke geht es hinter der Buchfarter Mühle (Besichtigung auf Anfrage) nach links steil bergan zur Felsenburg. Vom Aussichtspunkt neben der Burg bietet sich ein herrlicher Rundblick. Wir wandern weiter bergan bis zur Gaststätte Balsamine mit schönem Panoramablick. Dem Drei-Türme-Logo folgend geht es durch den Wald, über eine gepflasterte Straße Richtung Vollersroda. Wir passieren die Dorfkirche, die dem Maler Lyonel Feininger mehrmals als Motiv diente. Der Weg biegt nach rechts ab und führt dann weiter geradeaus zur Autobahnunterführung. Nach einigen Metern parallel zur Autobahn führt ein rechts abbiegender Wiesenweg in den Belvederer Forst. Dort überqueren wir den Possenbach und wandern über einen Pfad zur Forststraße bergab in Richtung Hainturm. Nach Überquerung einer Brücke liegt links der Schlosspark Belvedere bei Weimar. Weiter der Forststraße folgend, vorbei an der Pfeifferquelle mit Spiel- und Rastplatz, ist der Hainturm erreicht. Er wurde von 1828 bis 1830 im Auftrag der Großherzogin Maria Pawlowna erbaut und diente auf dem damals noch unbewaldeten Hainberg als Aussichtsturm. Von dort aus geht es bergab durch die Autobahnunterführung hindurch in Richtung Carolinenturm. Entlang alter Obstbäume und vorbei an einem Fischteich gehen wir nach Köttendorf. Am Ortsausgang folgen wir einem Wiesenweg. Von der Höhe aus ist in der Ferne ein erster Blick auf die Spitze des Carolinenturms zu erhaschen. Nach links abbiegend wandern wir bergab nach Oettern. Dort geht es nach rechts über eine denkmalgeschützte einspurige Steinbrücke in Richtung Zeltplatz. 400 m vor dem Zeltplatz biegt der Weg nach links ab durch das Ziegental bis zur Casparibank, dann weiter nach links bis zur Wegschleife. Nach ca. 1 km erreichen wir den Carolinenturm. Der 26 m hohe Aussichtsturm befindet sich auf dem knapp 500 m hohen Berg Kötsch. Der Turm wurde 1909 zur Erinnerung an die Großherzogin Caroline von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach errichtet. Wir genießen den herrlichen Ausblick, gehen dann bergab zur Waldgaststätte „Müllershausen" und zurück zur „Wegschleife“. Von dort aus sind es nur noch 4 km bis zum Paulinenturm. Eine Waldstraße geht leicht bergab vorbei am Klaus-Schuster-Stein bis zur Kreuzung Tafelbuche und von dort weiter bis zum Paulinenturm. Er ist ebenfalls 26 m hoch und wurde bereits 1884 erbaut. Benannt nach der Erbgroßherzogin Pauline von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach gibt es hier einen Spielplatz und einen wunderschönen Panorama-Rundblick in das Thüringer Land. Hinter dem Turm führt der Weg steil bergab durch den Wald. Wir biegen kurz vor dem Waldsaum rechts ab und wandern auf einer schönen Waldpromenade zurück zum Ausgangspunkt oberhalb des Kurparks von Bad Berka.<br /><br /><strong>Schwierigkeitsgrad:</strong> mittel</p>

From the viewpoint next to the castle, there is a magnificent panoramic view. We continue uphill to the Balsamine inn with a beautiful panoramic view. Following the Three Towers logo, the path goes through the forest over a paved road towards Vollersroda. We pass the village church, which the painter Lyonel Feininger used several times as a motif. The path turns right and then continues straight to the motorway underpass. After a few meters parallel to the motorway, a meadow path turns right into the Belvedere forest. There we cross the Possenbach and walk down a trail to the forest road towards Hainturm. After crossing a bridge, the Belvedere castle park near Weimar lies to the left. Continuing along the forest road, past the Pfeiffer spring with play and resting areas, the Hainturm is reached. It was built between 1828 and 1830 by order of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna and served as a viewing tower on the then still treeless Hainberg. From there, we go downhill through the motorway underpass towards Carolinenturm. Along old fruit trees and past a fish pond, we go to Köttendorf. At the village exit, we follow a meadow path. From the height, the first distant view of the Carolinenturm's peak can be caught. Turning left, we hike downhill to Oettern. There, we turn right over a protected single-track stone bridge towards the campsite. 400 m before the campsite, the path turns left through the Ziegental to the Caspar seat, then further left to the loop of the path. After about 1 km, we reach the Carolinenturm. The 26 m high observation tower is located on the nearly 500 m high Kotsch mountain. The tower was built in 1909 in memory of Grand Duchess Caroline of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. We enjoy the magnificent view, then go downhill to the Müllershausen forest inn and back to the loop of the path. From there, it is only 4 km to the Paulinenturm. A forest road goes gently downhill past the Klaus-Schuster stone to the Tafelbuche junction and from there on to the Paulinenturm. It is also 26 m high and was already built in 1884. Named after the heiress Grand Duchess Pauline of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, there is a playground and a beautiful panoramic view of the Thuringian land. Behind the tower, the path goes steeply downhill through the forest. Benannt nach der Erbgroßherzogin Pauline von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach gibt es hier einen Spielplatz und einen wunderschönen Panorama-Rundblick in das Thüringer Land. Hinter dem Turm führt der Weg steil bergab durch den Wald. Wir biegen kurz vor dem Waldsaum rechts ab und wandern auf einer schönen Waldpromenade zurück zum Ausgangspunkt oberhalb des Kurparks von Bad Berka. Schwierigkeitsgrad: mittel
