Kein wirtschaftlicher Eingriff stört hier das Zusammenspiel von Fluss, Wald und Fels. Du läufst entlang beeindruckender Blockhalden aus 240 Millionen Jahre altem Buntsandstein. Ein schmaler Pfad folgt dem Fluss über den neuen Wandersteg zur Reither Mühle mit ihrer historischen Bewässerungsanlage. Dein Weg schlängelt sich weiter durch grüne Wiesen zur 400 Jahre alten Bogenbrücke mit Bildstock bis zur Wasserskianlage. Hier ist sowohl eine sportliche Pause als auch eine entspannte Einkehr mit Blick aufs Wasser möglich. Auf der „Auraer Trift“ öffnet sich ein neuer Horizont: der Blick über das geschwungene Thulbatal. Der Weg endet, wie er begonnen hat – mit einem Gefühl von Naturverbundenheit.

Un sentier étroit suit la rivière sur la nouvelle passerelle vers le moulin Reither avec son système historique d'irrigation. Ton chemin serpente ensuite à travers les prairies verdoyantes jusqu'au pont voûté vieux de 400 ans avec un petit oratoire, puis à l'installation de ski nautique. Ici, tu peux faire une pause sportive ou une halte détendue avec vue sur l'eau. Sur la „Auraer Trift“ s'ouvre un nouvel horizon : la vue sur la vallée en courbe de la Thulba. Le chemin se termine comme il a commencé – avec un sentiment de lien avec la nature.

Your path starts at the marketplace in Oberthulba. Right behind the historic farm gardens, it leads into the wide riparian meadows of the Thulba – a core zone of the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve. No economic intervention disturbs the interaction of river, forest, and rock here. You walk along impressive block fields made of 240-million-year-old colored sandstone. A narrow path follows the river over the new hiking bridge to the Reither Mill with its historic irrigation system. Your path then winds further through green meadows to the 400-year-old arch bridge with a wayside shrine, continuing to the water ski facility. Here, both a sporty break and a relaxed stop with a view of the water are possible. On the “Auraer Trift,” a new horizon opens: the view over the curved Thulba valley. The path ends as it began – with a feeling of connectedness to nature.
