Zum Erlebnispfad Apfelstädter Grund starten wir am Sportplatz. An der Alten Tambacher Talsperre vorbei gelangen wir nach etwa 100 m in`s Tal der Apfelstädt. Auf verschiedenen regionsspezifischen Lehrtafeln erfährt man u.a. Wissenswertes zur Apfelstädt, Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, zur Wiesenbewässerung in alten Zeiten oder auch zur Jagd- und Forstwirtschaft. Aufgelockert wird der Pfad durch kleine Stationen wie Tierweitsprung, Wasserspielstation oder "Beerenhöhle". Auch der "Eber Horst" wartet auf einen Besuch. Der Pfad verläuft eben ohne nenneswerten Anstieg im Tal entlang. Am Wegekreuz " Diesterts Rain" führt der Weg scharf rechts zurück parallel zum Hauptweg. Auch hier befinden sich weitere Infotafeln. Die kleine Wegschleife trifft dann wieder auf den Hauptweg. Am Talausgang lohnt sich ein Blick auf die Bogenbrücke der Alten Tambacher Talsperre.

Nous démarrons le parcours d'expérience Apfelstädter Grund au terrain de sport. En passant devant l'ancienne retenue de Tambach, nous atteignons après environ 100 m la vallée de l'Apfelstädt. Sur différentes panneaux pédagogiques spécifiques à la région, on apprend, entre autres, des faits intéressants sur l'Apfelstädt, la faune et la flore, l'irrigation des prairies autrefois ou encore la chasse et la gestion forestière. Le parcours est agrémenté de petites stations comme le saut en longueur animalier, la station de jeux d'eau ou la "grotte aux baies". Le "gîte du sanglier" attend également une visite. Le parcours est plat sans montée notable dans la vallée. À la croix de chemin "Diesterts Rain", le chemin fait un virage serré à droite pour revenir parallèle au sentier principal. D'autres panneaux d'information s'y trouvent aussi. La petite boucle rejoint à nouveau le chemin principal. À la sortie de la vallée, un coup d’œil sur le pont en arc de l'ancienne retenue de Tambach vaut la peine.

We start the Apfelstädt Valley adventure trail at the sports field. Passing the Old Tambach Dam, after about 100 m, we enter the valley of the Apfelstädt. Various region-specific information boards provide knowledge about the Apfelstädt, animal and plant life, old meadow irrigation methods, and hunting and forestry. The trail is enlivened by small stations like animal long jump, water play station, or the "Berry Cave." The "Boar Nest" also awaits a visit. The trail runs gently without significant ascent along the valley. At the ways cross "Diesterts Rain," the path sharply turns right back parallel to the main path. Here, you will also find more information boards. The small loop then meets the main path again. At the valley exit, a look at the arch bridge of the old Tambach Dam is worthwhile.
