Diese Wanderung startet im Kurpark, und führt kurz danach an dem Nordhang durch kühle Wälder zum Gipfel des Dreistelzberges. Für das letzte Stück kurz unterhalb des Gipfels ist es absolut notwendig, festes Schuhwerk zu tragen. Hier ist es sehr steil, der Boden kann schnell rutschig werden. Wer den Aussichtsturm nicht besteigen möchte, hat die Möglichkeit, in der dort stehenden Schutzhütte zu rasten und sich bei mitgebrachter Brotzeit zu stärken. Im Staatsbad stehen verschiedene gastronomische Betriebe zur Stärkung zur Verfügung. Köstlich erfrischend sind gleich 5 Heilquellen in der Wandelhalle oder man gönnt sich am dahinter liegenden Kneipp-Becken eine Erfrischung für die müden Beine.

This tour takes you through cool forests to the summit of the Dreistelzberg. The mountain is named after the legend of three proud young ladies. From the Dreistelzturm the view can wander as far as the Taunus and Franconian Forest when the weather is nice. This hike requires a good physical condition and sturdy shoes.

thuecat:directions @de Die Wegweiser mit der Nr. 9 beginnen am kleinen Parkplatz vor dem Gäste-Service. Für alle, die mit dem Bus ins Staatsbad gefahren sind, ist es sinnvoll, in den Kurpark zu gehen, sodaß man zur rechten Seite die König-Ludwig-Statue sieht und vor einem die Sinn-Brücke zu sehen ist. Man durchquert den Park, läuft über die Sinnbrücke um anschließend ein kurzes Stück bergan zu gehen um danach die Staatsstr. 2289 zu überqueren. Hier führt die Strecke kurz an wenigen Häusern vorbei und man überquert den "Rhönexpress-Bahnradweg" mit dem wunderschön renovierten alten FAchwerk-Bahnhof zur linken. Danach geht es über Fortstraßen ein Stück bergauf um anschließen parallel zum Tal Richtung Osten läuft.  Immer auf dem Weg bleibend und der Ausschielderung folgend, läuft man in einer relativ engen Kurve weiter auf einem Forststraße durch herrlichen Mischwald. (Dabei gibt es auch HInweis für kurze Abzweigungen, die die Strecke etwas abkürzen - wer möchte kann diese auch nutzen). Immer auf der Forstraße bleibend erreicht man die sogenannte "Elfenwiese", um kurz darauf neben einer Straße über Wiesen weiterhin bergauf läuft. Schon bald kann man den Ort "Dreistelz" sehen, den man durchquert und etwa in der Mitte des Dorfes nach rechts abbiegt. Hier gelangt man zunächst über ein paar Stufen (hinter dem ehemaligen Berggasthof Dreistelz - leider inzwischen geschlossen) auf einen Wanderpfad zu einem wunderbarem Platz mit toller Aussicht. Eine Bank lädt zur verdienten Verschnaufpause ein. So erholt geht es weiter bergauf, wieder durch den Wald. Nochmal eine Forststraße querend, weiterhin bergauf wird es zuletzt doch erheblich steiler. Aber dann hat man es auch schon fast geschafft und man hat den Gipfel erreicht. Für Schwindelfreie steht nur noch der Aussichtsturm zum Erklimmen an. Nach ausgiebiger Rast führt der Weg in Kurven den Berg hinab, anfangs über einen Wanderpfad, danach wieder über geschotterte Wege - manchmal auch durch sehr verwunschene kurze Stücke. Zuletzt gelangt man in ein Wohngebiet, von wo aus der Weg einen wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt führt. Wer danach noch Energie und genügend Zeit hat, kann eine Museumstour im Deutschen Fahrradmuseum anschließen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!!

Here, after ascending a few steps (located behind the former *Berggasthof Dreistelz*—unfortunately now closed), you will reach a hiking trail leading to a wonderful spot offering a spectacular view. A bench invites you to take a well-deserved breather. Refreshed, you continue your ascent—once again passing through the forest. After crossing another forest road and continuing uphill, the terrain eventually becomes significantly steeper. But by then, you are nearly there—and you have reached the summit. For those with a head for heights, the only thing left to do is climb the observation tower. After a leisurely rest, the path winds its way down the mountain—initially along a hiking trail, then back onto gravel paths, sometimes passing through short, enchanting stretches. Finally, you reach a residential area, from where the route leads you back to your starting point. If you still have the energy and time afterwards, you can round off your outing with a tour of the German Bicycle Museum. It is well worth a visit!

Man durchquert den Park, läuft über die Sinnbrücke um anschließend ein kurzes Stück bergan zu gehen um danach die Staatsstr. 2289 zu überqueren. Hier führt die Strecke kurz an wenigen Häusern vorbei und man überquert den "Rhönexpress-Bahnradweg" mit dem wunderschön renovierten alten FAchwerk-Bahnhof zur linken. Danach geht es über Fortstraßen ein Stück bergauf um anschließen parallel zum Tal Richtung Osten läuft.  Immer auf dem Weg bleibend und der Ausschielderung folgend, läuft man in einer relativ engen Kurve weiter auf einem Forststraße durch herrlichen Mischwald. (Dabei gibt es auch HInweis für kurze Abzweigungen, die die Strecke etwas abkürzen - wer möchte kann diese auch nutzen). Immer auf der Forstraße bleibend erreicht man die sogenannte "Elfenwiese", um kurz darauf neben einer Straße über Wiesen weiterhin bergauf läuft. Schon bald kann man den Ort "Dreistelz" sehen, den man durchquert und etwa in der Mitte des Dorfes nach rechts abbiegt.
