Der große Treppenkäferrundweg beginnt ganz zentral an der Stadtinformation. Wenige Schritte von dort entfernt, begegnet man auch gleich dem ersten Treppenkäfer – Froebicus. Nun geht es auf zum Treppenkäfer Jakob, der am Fuße der neuen Lesserstiege sitzt. Sobald man diese erklommen hat, geht es abenteuerlich auf der Stadtmauer weiter. Auf dem Primariusgraben entlang, erreicht man nach Überquerung des Königs- und Johanniswalls die Wassertreppe (Ecki und der Wasserträger sind dort zu finden) – die Verbindung von Unter- und Oberstadt. Dem Weg weiter folgend kommt man am Nordhäuser Dom vorbei. Diesen kann man sogar besichtigen. Durch die kleine Domstraße gelangt man direkt in die historische Altstadt. Dort laden kleine Cafés und Restaurants zum Verweilen ein. Die nächste Herausforderung wartet. Mit 86 Stufen geht es die Altendorfer Stiege (Humrich) hinauf. Nach der Anstrengung kann man auf den Wanderwegen im Gehege gemütlich Richtung Park Hohenrode (Der Parkwächter) gehen, der frei zugänglich besichtigt werden kann. Zurück im Gehege hat man die Möglichkeit für einen kleinen Zwischenstopp einzukehren. Weiter geht‘s entlang alter Villen (Familie Käfer), durch die Promenade an der Nachtigallenpforte (Der Ziegler) zum Theater (Dramatikus) und am Partnerschaftsgarten (BoNo) vorbei, auf direktem Weg zum LGS-Gelände. Folgt man dem Treppenkäferzug, entdeckt man unweit entfernt Selina-Marie. Von dort gelangt man auf kürzestem Wege zu einem der markantesten Türme der Stadtsilouette – dem Petriturm (Lehi). Weiter geht es zur Bibliothekstreppe der Hochschule (Findulin). Der Rückweg ins Stadtzentrum führt über die Frauenberger Stiege mit 162 Treppenstufen (Rosika und der Rosenkavalier) zurück zum LGS-Gelände. Von dort aus gelangt man über die Rähmentreppe (Doppelkörner Henry und Henriette) zur Schlunzetreppe (Max der Gärtner) in die Rautenstraße (TeleFunny und Plasmolino) mit vielen kleinen Geschäften. Abschließend geht es zur Stadtbibliothek (Demokratikus) und vorbei am Roland zum letzten Treppenkäfer unseres Rundgangs (Zwahebro). Mit ihm endet der Rundweg am neuen Rathaus von Nordhausen.

Ensuite, on se dirige vers le scarabée d'escalier Jakob, qui se trouve au pied du nouvel escalier Lesserstiege. Une fois celui-ci monté, le parcours continue de manière aventureuse le long des remparts de la ville. En suivant le Primariusgraben, on atteint après avoir traversé les murs König- et Johannis la marche d'eau (Ecki et le porteur d'eau s'y trouvent) – la connexion entre la ville basse et la ville haute. En suivant le chemin, on passe devant la cathédrale de Nordhausen, que l'on peut même visiter. Par la petite Domstraße, on accède directement à la vieille ville historique. Là, de petits cafés et restaurants invitent à la détente. Le prochain défi attend. Avec ses 86 marches, on monte l'escalier Altendorfer Stiege (Humrich). Après cet effort, on peut, sur les sentiers de randonnée dans l'enclos, se diriger tranquillement vers le parc Hohenrode (le gardien du parc), qui est accessible à la visite libre. De retour dans l'enclos, il est possible de faire une petite pause. Ensuite, on continue le long de vieilles villas (famille Scarabée), puis on passe par la promenade à la porte des rossignols (le Ziegler) jusqu'au théâtre (Dramatikus) et à côté du jardin de partenariat (BoNo), en direction directe du site LGS. En suivant la procession des scarabées d'escalier, on découvre non loin Selina-Marie. De là, on rejoint par le chemin le plus court l'une des tours les plus marquantes de la silhouette de la ville – la tour Petriturm (Lehi). La route continue vers l'escalier de la bibliothèque de l'université (Findulin). After the effort, you can comfortably walk on the hiking trails in the enclosure towards Park Hohenrode (The Park Warden), which can be visited freely. Back in the enclosure, you have the opportunity to take a short break. Then continue along old villas (Beetle Family), through the promenade at the Nightingale Gate (The Ziegler) to the theater (Dramatikus) and past the Partnership Garden (BoNo), on a direct route to the LGS grounds. Following the Stair Beetle train, you discover Selina-Marie nearby. From there, you reach one of the most striking towers of the city skyline – the Petri Tower (Lehi) – in the shortest way. Continue to the library staircase of the university (Findulin). Nach der Anstrengung kann man auf den Wanderwegen im Gehege gemütlich Richtung Park Hohenrode (Der Parkwächter) gehen, der frei zugänglich besichtigt werden kann.</p> <p>Zurück im Gehege hat man die Möglichkeit für einen kleinen Zwischenstopp einzukehren. Von dort aus gelangt man über die Rähmentreppe (Doppelkörner Henry und Henriette) zur Schlunzetreppe (Max der Gärtner) in die Rautenstraße (TeleFunny und Plasmolino) mit vielen kleinen Geschäften.</p> <p>Abschließend geht es zur Stadtbibliothek (Demokratikus) und vorbei am Roland zum letzten Treppenkäfer unseres Rundgangs (Zwahebro).
