About: Wechmar

Günthersleben and Wechmar are located south-east of Gotha in the fertile glacial valley of the Apfelstädt at an altitude of 278 to 369 meters above sea level. A chronicle published by the municipality in 2001 is therefore entitled Im Tal des wilden Wassers (In the valley of wild water). The parts of the former municipality separated by the river are connected by a bridge. Günthersleben and Wechmar are connected via the Gotha exit of the A4 highway. The districts have grown together structurally thanks to an industrial estate built in the 1990s. Günthersleben-Wechmar borders on the municipalities of Gotha, Drei Gleichen, Ohrdruf, Hohenkirchen and Schwabhausen. The municipality has 2999 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2016) and covers 26.82 km².

Günthersleben et Wechmar se situent au sud-est de Gotha, dans la vallée primitive fertile de l'Apfelstädt, à une altitude comprise entre 278 et 369 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer. C'est pourquoi une chronique publiée par la commune en 2001 s'intitule Im Tal des wilden Wassers (Dans la vallée des eaux vives). Les parties de l'ancienne commune séparées par la rivière sont reliées entre elles par un pont. Günthersleben et Wechmar sont desservies par la sortie Gotha de l'autoroute A 4. Grâce à la création d'une zone industrielle dans les années 1990, les deux parties de la commune ont fusionné. Günthersleben-Wechmar était limitrophe des communes de Gotha, Drei Gleichen, Ohrdruf, Hohenkirchen et Schwabhausen. Le territoire communal comptait 2999 habitants (au 31 décembre 2016) sur 26,82 km².

Günthersleben und Wechmar liegen südöstlich von Gotha im fruchtbaren Urstromtal der Apfelstädt in einer Höhe von 278 bis 369 m ü. NN. Die durch den Fluss getrennten Teile der ehemaligen Gemeinde sind durch eine Brücke miteinander verbunden. Günthersleben und Wechmar sind über die Autobahnabfahrt Gotha der Autobahn A 4 verkehrstechnisch angebunden. Durch ein in den 1990er-Jahren entstandenes Gewerbegebiet sind die Ortsteile baulich zusammengewachsen. Günthersleben-Wechmar grenzte an die Gemeinden Gotha, Drei Gleichen, Ohrdruf, Hohenkirchen und Schwabhausen. Im Gemeindegebiet lebten 2999 Einwohner (Stand: 31. Dezember 2016) auf 26,82 km².
