Das Bibliotheksgebäude könnte sicher viele Erzählungen über das Schleizer Leben berichten. Es entstand ursprünglich 1838 als Verwaltungsgebäude und wurde 1842 zur fürstlichen Sparkasse. Außerdem waren verschiedene Ämter in ihr ansässig, wie beispielsweise das Rentenamt, das Steueramt, und das Gesundheitsamt. Es wurde als Internat für die Schüler des Gymnasiums genutzt und noch Jahre später als medizinische Einrichtung. Im Jahr 2009 startete schließlich die Umwandlung zur Bibliothek, die 2011 eingeweiht werden konnte. Heute verfügt die moderne Bibliothek über ein vielseitiges Medienangebot sowie Internet- und PC-Arbeitsplätze und einen Gruppenarbeitsplatz für bis zu 5 Personen im öffentlichen Bereich. Le bâtiment de la bibliothèque pourrait certainement raconter de nombreux récits sur la vie de Schleiz. Il a été construit à l'origine en 1838 comme bâtiment administratif et est devenu la caisse d'épargne princière en 1842. Il abritait également différents bureaux, tels que le bureau des pensions, le bureau des impôts et le bureau de la santé. Il a été utilisé comme internat pour les élèves du lycée et, des années plus tard, comme établissement médical. En 2009, le bâtiment a été transformé en bibliothèque, qui a été inaugurée en 2011. Aujourd'hui, la bibliothèque moderne dispose d'une offre de médias variée ainsi que de postes de travail Internet et PC et d'un poste de travail de groupe pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 5 personnes dans la zone publique. Des places de parking gratuites sont disponibles sur place. The library building could certainly tell many stories about life in Schleiz. It was originally built in 1838 as an administrative building and became the princely savings bank in 1842.
