Der Rundweg um Deutschlands nördlichstes Mittelgebirge ist insgesamt 310 km lang, durch Thüringen verlaufen 28 km. Beginnend an der Landesgrenze zu Sachsen-Anhalt, zwischen den Harzorten Rottleberode und Stempeda, folgt die Tour dem Südrand des Harzes mit hübschen kleinen Ortschaften wie dem heilklimatischen Luftkurort Neustadt/Harz, dem Erholungsort Ilfeld und der Kleinstadt Ellrich. Besonders reizvoll ist die Strecke für alle geologisch interessierten Radwanderer. Auf der gesamten Abschnitt Richtung Walkenried durchqueren Sie das Gipskarstgebiet des Südharzes mit seiner überaus artenreichen Flora und Fauna. Der thüringische Teil des Radweges ist für natur- und kulturinteressierte Familien und Tourenradler geeignet.

Commençant à la frontière régionale avec la Saxe-Anhalt, entre les localités du Harz Rottleberode et Stempeda, le parcours suit le bord sud du Harz avec de charmants petits villages tels que la station climatique de Neustadt/Harz, la station de loisirs d'Ilfeld et la petite ville d'Ellrich. La piste est particulièrement attrayante pour tous les amateurs de géologie. The circular route around Germany's northernmost low mountain range is a total of 310 km long, with 28 km passing through Thuringia. Starting at the state border to Saxony-Anhalt, between the Harz towns of Rottleberode and Stempeda, the route follows the southern edge of the Harz with charming small towns such as the spa town Neustadt/Harz, the recreation town Ilfeld, and the small town Ellrich. The route is especially attractive for all geology-interested cycle tourists. On the entire section towards Walkenried, you pass through the gypsum karst area of the South Harz with its extraordinarily diverse flora and fauna. The Thuringian part of the cycle path is suitable for nature- and culture-interested families and touring cyclists.
