Die Wanderung führt auf dem Weltnaturerbe-Pfad entlang. Markiert ist dieser Rundweg mit der UNESCO-Raute. Seinem Namen verdankt der Pfad der Tatsache, dass der Nationalpark Hainich im Jahre 2011 gemeinsam mit vier weiteren Buchenwäldern in Nord- und Mitteldeutschland zum UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe erklärt wurde. Die Fläche im Weltnaturerbegebiet umfasst immerhin 1.573 ha. Geprägt sind diese zentralen Bereiche des Nationalparks mit besonders naturnahen Altbuchenwäldern. Nachdem die einstigen Truppenübungsplätze aufgegeben und beräumt wurden, hat sich die Natur rund um die alten Buchen weitestgehend frei von menschlichen Einflüssen entwickelt.

La randonnée suit le sentier du patrimoine naturel mondial, marqué par le losange de l'UNESCO. Le nom du sentier est dû au fait que le Parc national de Hainich a été déclaré patrimoine naturel mondial UNESCO en 2011 avec quatre autres hêtraies en Allemagne du Nord et centrale. La zone du patrimoine couvre 1 573 hectares. Ces zones centrales du parc national sont marquées par des hêtraies anciennes particulièrement naturelles. Après l'abandon et le dégagement des anciens terrains militaires, la nature s'est largement développée libre de toute influence humaine dans les zones autour des vieux hêtres.

The hike follows the World Natural Heritage trail, marked with the UNESCO lozenge. The path owes its name to the fact that the Hainich National Park was declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2011 together with four other beech forests in northern and central Germany. The protected area covers an impressive 1,573 ha. These central parts of the national park are characterized by particularly natural old beech forests. After the former military training areas were abandoned and cleared, nature has developed here almost undisturbed by human influences around the old beeches.

Craulaer Kreuz - Otterbühl - Langes Tal - Gänserasen - Steinbruch - Sperbersgrund - Maßholder - AP Wartburgblick - Maßholder - Turnerbank - Craulaer Kreuz Vom Wanderparkplatz am Craulaer Kreuz laufen wir Richtung Wald. Direkt am Craulaer Kreuz finden wir eine Informationstafel, auf der der Weltnaturerbe-Wanderweg vorgestellt wird. Anschließend tauchen wir in den Wald ein. Der nun folgende Pfad charakterisiert einen reinen Buchenwald in seinen unterschiedlichsten Entwicklungsstadien. Eindrucksvolle Totholzstämme säumen den Weg. Nach ca. 30 Minuten Gehzeit erreichen wir das Wegekreuz und den Rastplatz am Otterbühl. Entsprechend der Wanderwegweiser schwenken wir links ein. Der uns nun begleitende, bergab führende Radweg Gelbe Route weist ein Gefälle von 10 % auf und führt durch das Lange Tal. Linkerhand sehen wir unter uns einen Schluchtwald, den wir aber bald aus nächster Nähe betrachten und durchwandern können. Bei der nach 500 m folgenden Weggabelung geht es rechts bergab, bis wir nach weiteren ca. 1,4 km den Gänserasen erreichen. Nun verlassen wir den Radweg Gelbe Route und folgen linksabbiegend einem Waldweg, der durch den oben genannten Schluchtwald führt. Nach 600 m passieren wir einen Steinbruch, der sich ca. 20 m abseits vom Wanderweg befindet. Nachdem wir weitere 600 m zurückgelegt haben, lädt ein weiterer Rastplatz zum Entspannen ein. Anschließend schlängelt sich die Himmelsleiter treppauf durch den Sperbersgrund. Der naturbelassene Waldweg führt anschließend zur Wendeschleife Maßholder an der Craulaer Lehde hinauf. An dieser Stelle lässt es sich gut rasten und es wird ein Abstecher zum Aussichtspunkt Wartburgblick angeboten. Von dort kehren wir zum Maßholder zurück. Der Weg führt am Waldrand entlang. Dieser ist geprägt von Totholz- und Verjüngungsflächen. Bis zur nächsten Weggabelung passieren wir auch einen Fichtenbestand. Hinter einer Schranke zweigt der Weg links ab und wir erreichen wenig später die Turnerbank. Nun stoßen wir auch wieder auf den Hainich-Rennstieg und auf den Hainichlandweg. Diese beiden Wege begleiten uns neben dem Weltnaturerbe-Pfad zu unserem Ausgangspunkt am Craulaer Kreuz. Nach dieser erlebnisreichen Wanderung lohnt sich ein Besuch in der HainichBaude direkt neben dem Wanderparkplatz.

Craulaer Kreuz - Otterbühl - Langes Tal - Gänserasen - Carrière - Sperbersgrund - Maßholder - AP Wartburgblick - Maßholder - Turnerbank - Craulaer Kreuz Depuis le parking de randonnée au Craulaer Kreuz, nous nous dirigeons vers la forêt. Juste au Craulaer Kreuz, nous trouvons un panneau d'information présentant le sentier de randonnée du patrimoine mondial naturel. Ensuite, nous pénétrons dans la forêt. Le sentier qui suit caractérise une hêtraie pure dans ses différents stades de développement. Des troncs morts impressionnants bordent le chemin. Après environ 30 minutes de marche, nous atteignons la croix routière et l'aire de repos au Otterbühl. Selon les panneaux de randonnée, nous tournons à gauche. La piste cyclable en descente appelée "Gelbe Route" présente une pente de 10 % et traverse la Langes Tal. Sur la gauche, nous voyons en contrebas une forêt en gorge que nous pouvons bientôt observer de près et traverser. Au carrefour suivant, situé à environ 500 m, on descend à droite, jusqu'à atteindre après environ 1,4 km le Gänserasen. Nous quittons maintenant la piste cyclable Gelbe Route et suivons un sentier forestier qui traverse la gorge mentionnée plus haut. Après 600 m, nous passons devant une carrière située à environ 20 m du sentier de randonnée. Après avoir parcouru encore 600 m, une autre aire de repos invite à la détente. Ensuite, l'escalier naturel Himmelsleiter serpente en montée à travers le Sperbersgrund. Le sentier forestier naturel mène ensuite à la boucle de retournement Maßholder au-dessus de la Craulaer Lehde. C'est un bon endroit pour faire une pause et une excursion au point de vue Wartburgblick est proposée. De là, nous revenons au Maßholder. Le chemin longe la lisière de la forêt, marquée par des zones de bois mort et de régénération. Jusqu'au carrefour suivant, nous passons aussi une plantation d'épicéas. Derrière une barrière, le chemin tourne à gauche et peu après, nous arrivons sur la Turnerbank. Nous retrouvons alors les sentiers Hainich-Rennstieg et Hainichlandweg. Ces deux chemins nous accompagnent, aux côtés du sentier du patrimoine mondial naturel, jusqu'à notre point de départ au Craulaer Kreuz. Après cette randonnée riche en expériences, une visite à la HainichBaude juste à côté du parking de randonnée est recommandée.

At the fork in the path after about 500 m, we descend right until, after another approximately 1.4 km, we reach the Gänserasen. We now leave the Yellow Route cycle path and take a left-turn forest path that leads through the aforementioned ravine forest. After 600 m we pass a quarry about 20 m off the hiking trail. After another 600 m, another rest area invites you to relax. Then the Himmelsleiter winds its way up through the Sperbersgrund. The natural forest path then leads up to the turnaround loop Maßholder at the Craulaer Lehde. This is a good spot for a break, and there is a detour to the Wartburgblick viewpoint. From there, we return to Maßholder. The path runs along the forest edge. This area is characterized by deadwood and regeneration zones. Up to the next fork in the path, we also pass a stand of spruce trees. Behind a barrier, the path turns left and we soon reach the Turnerbank. We now meet the Hainich-Rennstieg and the Hainichlandweg again. These two paths accompany us alongside the World Natural Heritage trail back to our starting point at Craulaer Kreuz. After this eventful hike, a visit to the HainichBaude directly next to the hiking car park is worthwhile.

Direkt am Craulaer Kreuz finden wir eine Informationstafel, auf der der Weltnaturerbe-Wanderweg vorgestellt wird.</p> <p>Anschließend tauchen wir in den Wald ein. Der nun folgende Pfad charakterisiert einen reinen Buchenwald in seinen unterschiedlichsten Entwicklungsstadien. Eindrucksvolle Totholzstämme säumen den Weg. Nach ca. 30 Minuten Gehzeit erreichen wir das Wegekreuz und den Rastplatz am <strong>Otterbühl</strong>.</p> <p>Entsprechend der Wanderwegweiser schwenken wir links ein. Der uns nun begleitende, bergab führende Radweg Gelbe Route weist ein Gefälle von 10 % auf und führt durch das <strong>Lange Tal</strong>. Linkerhand sehen wir unter uns einen Schluchtwald, den wir aber bald aus nächster Nähe betrachten und durchwandern können. Bei der nach <br />500 m folgenden Weggabelung geht es rechts bergab, bis wir nach weiteren ca. 1,4 km den <strong>Gänserasen</strong> erreichen. </p> <p>Nun verlassen wir den Radweg Gelbe Route und folgen linksabbiegend einem Waldweg, der durch den oben genannten Schluchtwald führt. Nach 600 m passieren wir einen <strong>Steinbruch</strong>, der sich ca. 20 m abseits vom Wanderweg befindet. Nachdem wir weitere 600 m zurückgelegt haben, lädt ein weiterer Rastplatz zum Entspannen ein. Anschließend schlängelt sich die <strong>Himmelsleiter</strong> treppauf durch den <strong>Sperbersgrund</strong>. Der naturbelassene Waldweg führt anschließend zur Wendeschleife <strong>Maßholder</strong> an der <strong>Craulaer Lehde</strong> hinauf. An dieser Stelle lässt es sich gut rasten und es wird ein Abstecher zum <strong>Aussichtspunkt Wartburgblick</strong> angeboten.</p> <p>Von dort kehren wir zum <strong>Maßholder</strong> zurück. Der Weg führt am Waldrand entlang. Dieser ist geprägt von Totholz- und Verjüngungsflächen. Bis zur nächsten Weggabelung passieren wir auch einen Fichtenbestand. Hinter einer Schranke zweigt der Weg links ab und wir erreichen wenig später die <strong>Turnerbank</strong>. </p> <p>Nun stoßen wir auch wieder auf den Hainich-Rennstieg und auf den Hainichlandweg. Diese beiden Wege begleiten uns neben dem Weltnaturerbe-Pfad zu unserem Ausgangspunkt am <strong>Craulaer Kreuz</strong>. Nach dieser erlebnisreichen Wanderung lohnt sich ein Besuch in der HainichBaude direkt neben dem Wanderparkplatz.</p>

Juste au Craulaer Kreuz, nous trouvons un panneau d'information présentant le sentier de randonnée du patrimoine mondial naturel.</p> <p>Ensuite, nous pénétrons dans la forêt. Le sentier qui suit caractérise une hêtraie pure dans ses différents stades de développement. Des troncs morts impressionnants bordent le chemin. Après environ 30 minutes de marche, nous atteignons la croix routière et l'aire de repos au <strong>Otterbühl</strong>.</p> <p>Selon les panneaux de randonnée, nous tournons à gauche. La piste cyclable en descente appelée "Gelbe Route" présente une pente de 10 % et traverse la <strong>Langes Tal</strong>. Sur la gauche, nous voyons en contrebas une forêt en gorge que nous pouvons bientôt observer de près et traverser. Au carrefour suivant, situé à environ 500 m, on descend à droite, jusqu'à atteindre après environ 1,4 km le <strong>Gänserasen</strong>.</p> <p>Nous quittons maintenant la piste cyclable Gelbe Route et suivons un sentier forestier qui traverse la gorge mentionnée plus haut. Après 600 m, nous passons devant une <strong>carrière</strong> située à environ 20 m du sentier de randonnée. Après avoir parcouru encore 600 m, une autre aire de repos invite à la détente. Ensuite, l'escalier naturel <strong>Himmelsleiter</strong> serpente en montée à travers le <strong>Sperbersgrund</strong>. Le sentier forestier naturel mène ensuite à la boucle de retournement <strong>Maßholder</strong> au-dessus de la <strong>Craulaer Lehde</strong>. C'est un bon endroit pour faire une pause et une excursion au <strong>point de vue Wartburgblick</strong> est proposée.</p> <p>De là, nous revenons au <strong>Maßholder</strong>. Le chemin longe la lisière de la forêt, marquée par des zones de bois mort et de régénération. Jusqu'au carrefour suivant, nous passons aussi une plantation d'épicéas. Derrière une barrière, le chemin tourne à gauche et peu après, nous arrivons sur la <strong>Turnerbank</strong>.</p> <p>Nous retrouvons alors les sentiers Hainich-Rennstieg et Hainichlandweg. Ces deux chemins nous accompagnent, aux côtés du sentier du patrimoine mondial naturel, jusqu'à notre point de départ au <strong>Craulaer Kreuz</strong>. Après cette randonnée riche en expériences, une visite à la HainichBaude juste à côté du parking de randonnée est recommandée.</p>
