Unweit des zertifizierten Qualitätswanderwegs Karstwanderweg liegt etwas versteckt ein besonderes Karstphänomen: Beim Dorf Liebenrode, einem Ortsteil der Gemeinde Hohenstein, liegen gleich mehrere Erdfallseen, darunter die Röstesee, Mönchsee, Opfersee, Wiedertäuferloch und Grubenloch. Über schmale Pfade und Brücken können Wanderer und Spaziergänger diese geologischen Erscheinungen entdecken. In der Südharzer Karstlandschaft entstehen durch unterirdische Auslaugungen der Gipsgesteine Hohlräume, die einbrechen und zu Erdfällen führen können. Solche Trichter sind auch bei Liebenrode entstanden und haben sich hier mit Wasser gefüllt. Ruhe und Entspannung können Gäste hier beim Blick aufs Wasser genießen. Auf dem überregionalen Karstwanderweg können Wanderer viele weitere Karstphänomene dieses besonderen Landstrichs erleben.

Non loin du sentier de randonnée certifié « Karstwanderweg », se cache un phénomène karstique particulier : près du village de Liebenrode, un hameau de la commune de Hohenstein, on trouve plusieurs lacs de dolines, parmi lesquels le Röstesee, le Mönchsee, l’Opfersee, le Wiedertäuferloch et le Grubenloch. Les randonneurs et les promeneurs peuvent découvrir ces phénomènes géologiques en empruntant des sentiers étroits et des ponts. Dans le paysage karstique du sud du Harz, l'érosion souterraine des roches gypseuses crée des cavités qui peuvent s'effondrer et former des dolines. De tels cratères se sont également formés près de Liebenrode et se sont remplis d'eau. Les visiteurs peuvent y profiter du calme et de la détente en contemplant l'eau. Sur le sentier de randonnée karstique interrégional, les randonneurs peuvent découvrir de nombreux autres phénomènes karstiques de cette région particulière.

Not far from the certified Karst Hiking Trail lies a unique karst phenomenon, somewhat hidden away: near the village of Liebenrode, a district of the municipality of Hohenstein, there are several sinkhole lakes, including the Röstesee, Mönchsee, Opfersee, Wiedertäuferloch, and Grubenloch. Hikers and walkers can explore these geological features via narrow paths and bridges. In the South Harz karst landscape, underground leaching of gypsum rocks creates cavities that can collapse and lead to sinkholes. Such sinkholes have also formed near Liebenrode and have filled with water here. Visitors can enjoy peace and relaxation here while gazing at the water. On the regional Karst Hiking Trail, hikers can experience many other karst phenomena in this unique region.
