In Leutenberg, südlich des Hohenwarte Stausee, befindet sich der offizielle Start- und Zielpunkt der verheißungsvollen Schiefergebirgstrophy! Auf zwei Rundkursen erkundest Du den Naturpark Thüringer Schiefergebirge/ Obere Saale, genießt Thüringer Gastlichkeit und erlebst die spektakulärste Mittelgebirgslandschaft Deutschlands innerhalb der Aktivregion Rennsteig. Die bestens ausgeschilderte Strecke führt Dich über abwechslungsreiches Terrain zu landschaftlich wie kulturhistorisch vielfältigen Plätzen. Weite Aussichten über die fjordähnliche Landschaft des Hohenwarte Stausees als Teil des Thüringer Meeres - Europas größtem zusammenhängenden Stauseegebiet. Schmale Trails - bergauf wie bergab - wechseln sich mit Besonderheiten wie dem Kolonnenweg an der ehemaligen Innerdeutschen Grenze ab. Zusätzlich führt der Weg über den legendären Rennsteig und durch lokale Besonderheiten wie den Schieferpark Lehesten.  An 10 Stempelstellen quittierst Du deine Fahrt. Hast Du beide Touren in 36 Stunden bewältigt, belohnen wir Dich mit einer besonderen Trophäe, ein von Hand aus Schiefer und Leutenberger Knollenkalk gefertigter Hingucker.

In Leutenberg, south of the Hohenwarte reservoir, is the official start and finish point of the promising Slate Mountain Trophy! On two circular routes, you explore the Nature Park Thuringian Slate Mountains / Upper Saale, enjoy Thuringian hospitality, and experience the most spectacular low mountain landscape in Germany within the Rennsteig active region. The well-signposted route takes you through varied terrain to places that are scenic as well as culturally and historically diverse. Wide views over the fjord-like landscape of the Hohenwarte reservoir as part of the Thuringian Sea – Europe's largest connected reservoir area. Narrow trails – uphill as well as downhill – alternate with special features like the patrol road along the former inner-German border. Additionally, the route leads over the legendary Rennsteig and through local highlights like the Slate Park Lehesten. At 10 stamp stations you confirm your ride. If you complete both routes within 36 hours, we reward you with a special trophy, a handcrafted eye-catcher made from slate and Leutenberg shelly limestone.

À Leutenberg, au sud du barrage de Hohenwarte, se trouve le point officiel de départ et d'arrivée de la prometteuse Schiefergebirgstrophy ! Sur deux boucles, tu explores le parc naturel du Massif schisteux de Thuringe / Haute Saale, profites de l’hospitalité thuringienne et vis le paysage de moyenne montagne le plus spectaculaire d’Allemagne dans la région active Rennsteig. Le parcours bien balisé te mène à travers un terrain varié vers des lieux riches tant sur le plan paysager qu’historico-culturel. De larges panoramas sur le paysage fjordique du barrage de Hohenwarte, partie du lac de Thuringe – la plus grande zone de retenue connectée d’Europe. Des sentiers étroits – en montée comme en descente – alternent avec des curiosités telles que le chemin des colonnes à l’ancienne frontière intérieure allemande. Le parcours passe aussi par la légendaire Rennsteig et par des sites locaux tels que le parc schisteux de Lehesten. Tu valides ton parcours à 10 stations de tampon. Si tu réussis les deux parcours en 36 heures, tu es récompensé par un trophée spécial, une pièce d’exposition fabriquée à la main en ardoise et calcaire nodulaire de Leutenberg.
