Der kleine Bergsee Ebertswiese ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Er liegt hinter Felsen verborgen und ist für Wanderfreunde im Sommer eine echte Abkühlung. Er ist wirklich kalt. Der Bergsee ist eine der wenigen Wasserflächen, die direkt am Rennsteig liegen. Bei über 3000 m² beträgt die Wassertiefe 8 bis 13 Meter. Der Bergsee ist auf drei Seiten von bis zu 30 Meter hohen Felsen umgeben, die einen Kessel bilden. Bis kurz vor Kriegsende wurde auf dem Gebiet des Bergsees noch Bergbau betrieben. Als man beim Gesteinsabbau eine Wasserader anbohrte, bildete sich innerhalb weniger Tage der heutige Bergsee.

Le petit lac de montagne d'Ebertswiese est un véritable secret d'initiés. Niché derrière des rochers, il offre aux randonneurs un véritable rafraîchissement en été. L'eau y est vraiment froide. Ce lac de montagne est l'un des rares plans d'eau situés directement sur le Rennsteig. D'une superficie de plus de 3 000 m², il a une profondeur comprise entre 8 et 13 mètres. Le lac de montagne est entouré sur trois côtés par des rochers pouvant atteindre 30 mètres de haut, qui forment une cuvette. Jusqu'à peu avant la fin de la guerre, l'exploitation minière était encore pratiquée dans la région du lac. Lorsqu'une veine d'eau a été forée lors de l'extraction de roches, le lac de montagne actuel s'est formé en l'espace de quelques jours.

The small mountain lake Ebertswiese is a true hidden gem. Hidden behind rocks, it offers hikers a refreshing respite in the summer. The water is truly cold. This mountain lake is one of the few bodies of water located directly along the Rennsteig. Covering over 3,000 square meters, it ranges in depth from 8 to 13 meters. The mountain lake is surrounded on three sides by cliffs up to 30 meters high, forming a basin. Mining operations continued in the area of the lake until shortly before the end of the war. When a water vein was struck during rock excavation, the lake as we know it today formed within a few days.
